Malaysiakini is an alternative media catering for different kinds of readership. To me, there is nothing wrong in publishing issues about Islamic states. In fact, I would encourage everyone to discuss about it. There is no point keeping the issue under wraps, just because it is controversial. In fact, due to the controversial nature of this subject, it must be brought forward to be discussed and make known to all level of the society. Discussion would result in understanding among the various parties.Malaysiakini is doing what it suppose to do as an alternative news provider. Malaysiakini is not the PR or BN mouthpiece. I would stop reading Malaysiakini the moment it becomes pro-BN or pro-PR.I find it funny that you criticised Karpal for commenting about something that is non-productive. Perhaps you forgotten that Karpal is merely providing his opinion in response to Dr Dzulkifly Ahmad?PAS indeed tries very hard to portray itself to be open (terbuka), but time will tell if it is indeed 'terbuka'.
Just my 2 cents.

One of the irony's of the just concluded General Elections is that we are now seeing the true face of the BN and it's leaders. What we are seeing and hearing about the BN leaders really makes my flesh crawl. For 50 years we have been led by racists, hypocrites, backstabbers, prima donnas, cheats, crooks and to add to the litany, sore losers! If Malaysia wants to take her place in the international stage, we have to ditch these clowns from the BN.In today's globalized world, we need to look at our strengths and opportunities to counter the weaknesses that we have in us as a nation to counter the threats that are out there. To do this, race, religion, gender and political affiliation's has no place at all.Unfortunately, as we have been witnessing since the political tsunami that swept the nation on March 8, the BN regime is sadly on the wrong track. Just look at the hue and cry coming from the BN about Lee Kah Choon's acceptance of his appointment to the PDC and InvestPenang. CM YAB Lim Guan Eng must be applauded for moving away from the norm by appointing a member of the opposition for such and important position. This will never and has never happened when it comes to the BN.For the BN race, religion and political patronage are all that is needed to assume positions of responsibility. See what this practice has brought us after 50 years. Meritocracy is the way forward for this nation. Unfortunately, this won't happen as long as the BN clings to power. Even today, we hear the cries of Ketuanan Melayu (Malay Supremacy) and Negara Islam (Islamic State) getting even louder. We have 27 million Malaysians to choose from for the tasks that lies ahead. May we choose the right man or woman for the tasks and forget about race, religion, gender and political affiliation's.
HIDUP KETUANAN MALAYSIA!
(LONG LIVE THE MALAYSIAN PEOPLE'S SUPREMACY!)
